Es ist Zeit wieder laut zu sein, sagten sich drei Pionierinnen des Punks im September 2018. Sie kennen sich seit 1977, spielten Bass in unterschiedlichsten Bands der Züricher Szene; ONETWOTHREE heisst die neue Band! 

Drei Bassistinnen und Sängerinnen, die aus Schweizer Post-Punk-Bands hervorgegangen sind - Klaudia Schifferle (Kleenex/Liliput), Madlaina Peer (Noknows) und Sara Schär (TNT, Kick, Souldawn) - bilden ihre eindringliche, minimale Musik aus Schlagzeug-Patterns, Synthesizer, Gesängen, spielerischem Umgang mit der Sprache und viel Bass! 

ONETWOTHREE überraschen mit frischen, tanzbaren Songs und durch die spezielle Kombination der Instrumente entsteht ein einzigartiger Sound. Ihr Mittel ist der Minimalismus, ihr Antrieb die Veränderung und ihre Songs sind konkrete Experimente an den Konventionen der Gegenwart.  

Im Frühling 2021 nahmen sie in den legendären Powerplay Studios, Maur, ihr erstes Album auf, welches im Oktober beim amerikanischen Independent Label Kill Rock Stars erschien. Über sechshundert Radiostationen spielten die Songs von ONETWOTHREE weltweit.


ONETWOTHREE spielten einige Live-Shows in Zürich und im Dezember fand die Albumtaufe mit einem Live-Auftritt im El Lokal statt.  

Kurz darauf verstarb Madlaina Peer nach kurzer, heftiger Krankheit. 


ONETWOTHREE, Sara Schär und Klaudia Schifferle spielen seit 2022 als Duo weiter.

Sie haben einige Konzerte gespielt und arbeiten an neuen Songs. 

Ende Januar 2023  haben sie in den Powerplay Studios 4 neue Songs aufgenommen, welche am 16. Juni 2023 als EP herauskommen wird bei Kill Rock Stars.


 

Sara Schär (*1964) Sängerin von TNT (1978-1982), Bassistin und Sängerin von The Kick (1985-1988), Sängerin von Souldawn (1989-1996) und Jailbreak (1993-2017). 

 

Klaudia Schifferle (*1955) Mitgründerin und Bassistin, Sängerin von Kleenex/LiLiPUT (1977-1982), arbeitet seit 1974 als freischaffende Künstlerin.

 

Madlaina Peer (*1964) Bassistin in diversen Zürcher Punk- und Postpunkbands (u.a. Knownos), Kostüm- und Bühnenbildnerin für Film, Theater und Oper. 





Das Album löste etliche begeisterte Album-Reviews aus, vor allem im englischen Sprachraum:

ONETWOTHREE is a new group featuring members of the late-'70s/early-'80s Swiss punk scene, all of whom are bassists. The band includes Klaudia Schifferle of Kleenex / LiLiPUT, as well as Madlaina Peer of the Noknows and Sara Schär, who was singer for TNT and Souldawn, and singer/bassist for The Kick. They formed in 2018, finding  the idea of a group made of three bass players novel, and they've just announced their debut album which will be out October 15 via Kill Rock Stars

There is more than bass on their album, as ONETWOTHREE make skeletal DIY post-punk that draws on the influential music they each made with their former groups. If you are a fan of Kleenex / LiLiPUT you'll definitely want to hear the album's opening track, "Perfect Illusions," that is twitchy, poppy and danceable. Bill Paris via Brooklyn Vegan
